How to delete your account

πŸ‘‹ We hope you're leaving because you met someone awesome! If not, that's a bummer. Either way, we will miss you.

Here's how to do the deed:

You can delete your account from your settings page where it says β€œYour data” on the bottom left side of the page.

Remember- deleting is permanent, so if you think you'll want to come back to us in the future, don't leave us!

If you delete your account, you can use the same email address for another account in the future.

If you're having trouble deleting or disabling your account and need help, let us know.

If you're deleting your account because you met someone:

That's our favorite thing to hear. OK! So, what happens next?

1. If you'd like to close your account (or close your accounts together, you cuties, you), you can do so from the settings page on the website. Follow the prompts there to permanently delete your account.

Contact us and tell us who you met so we can be reminded how rad our matching system is. 😎

1.5 1.5. But wait! If you'd like to keep a memento of your conversation on Cupids Catch, make sure to copy those messages before you close your accounts. If you end up asking us for copies of them later, it would end up being a whole thing, and we might even have to say No, so make sure to grab them now. Your scrapbook will thank you.

2. If you'd like to let us know your story, we'd love to hear it! Please reach out to us on our Facebook and Twitter accounts, or you can submit a success story here.

How to change or reset your password

If you don't remember your password, go here and enter in your email address. This will send you an email with a link to log into Cupids Catch.

Make sure you're entering the email address linked to the Cupids Catch account that you'd like to log into. (If you logged in via Facebook, the email address will be the email address you use on Facebook).

If you don't see our email, check your spam or social folders in your email. Also try entering any other email addresses that you may have used on your account instead.

If you've already tried this and it's not working, or you didn't receive our email, please let us know and we can help with next steps.

A really fun note about security and privacy

For obvious reasons, we all want to make sure that the only person who is logging into your Cupids Catch account is YOU.

Right now, the way we verify that is via the email address on your account and your password* or via your billing details.

We'd love to just take your word for it, but because there are a few bad folks out there we have to be super careful for everyone's sake.

If this is the case for you, let us know and we can make sure your profile is disabled. This means no one will be able to see your profile or send a message to that profile, just as though it were deleted. However if (for some reason) you remember the password/ have access to the email address again/ were not actually the person who emailed us and want to reopen the account, you can do so. Otherwise, the profile will be automatically deleted after a period of inactivity, and in the meantime you're free to create a new profile with an email address that you have access to and a password that you know.

If you already know your password but want a new one:

Go to your settings page and enter a new password at the bottom of the page.
